Belize borders the Caribbean Sea along the eastern shore of Central
America just below the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the only English speaking
Central American country- bordered by Mexico to the North and on the
south and west by Guatemala. Belize has a relatively small population
approximated at 250,000, who speak mostly English, Spanish and Creole.
Its lands are covered by a lush rainforest, covered rain basins, and
are sheltered by a line of coral reef (the second largest living barrier
reef in the world). Nature at its best, Belize is renowned by outdoor
enthusiasts who come from around the globe for diving, snorkeling, fishing,
hiking, jungle adventures and more.
San Pedro Town is located on the island of Ambergris Caye, which is
27 miles long. There is a small cut to the north of the island that separates
Belize from Mexico.
